Our organization has long advocated for the reduction of bail amount especially for indigent accused. The DOJ had just issued a very progressive circular that addresses the difficulties of indigent accused to post bail. This is a big win for the efforts to promote social justice in the Philippines. Jesus Crispin Remulla and we are now, more than ever, optimistic that long-lasting reforms in our criminal justice system are now being implemented.
