Bayanihan Crowd-sourcing: Computers and Laptops for a Great Cause

We are thankful to Shella Marquez and our anonymous donor for the laptop computers they donated to our Community Bail Bond Program. These computers are donated to Manila City Jail Male Dorm and Quezon City Jail Female Dorm. These computers are used to facilitate the E-Hearings, monitor the legal status of the PDLs, and provide E-counselling. Through these computers, we now have bailed out 6 low risk, first time Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) and saved the government at least PhP 15,000 for food budget.

We are still in need of more computers/laptops and Ipads. If you have one which is fully functional but you no longer use, please consider donating it to our program.

Since jail visitations are not allowed due to the Covid19 preventative protocols, E-visits and E-hearings are the only mechanisms to keep the criminal justice system operational.
