PRESO, Inc. Annual Membership Meeting

Last February 3, 2022 the Board of Trustees of PRESO, Inc. held their annual membership meeting via teleconference. They were joined by the Community Bail Bond staff as well as invited guests from parts organizations that have helped PRESO, Inc. during the past year.

Below is the inspirational message given by Rene V. Sarmiento, acting president and chair of the Board of Trustees.

MESSAGE OF BRIGHT HOPES AND GRATITUDE

New Year means newness to its fullest sense: new hopes, new beginnings, new resolutions, new great deeds.

With this thought in mind, I welcome you all to our first meeting this new year 2022.

While we remember with sadness the passing of our President, Judge Aurora-Recina (ret.), we remember her more when she was with us, pulsating with life, devoted and dedicated to the cause of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL); and, we remember her more for her cheerful participation and joyful disposition when we celebrated our many pre-pandemic Christmas celebrations to cap our regular year-long service to the PDL.

We will give meaning to the memory of our Pres. Recina and to our trustees by continuing with a new surge of passion and fervor in our missionary work for the release from the detention of PDLs and for the upliftment of their economic situation, them looking to the future with promise and hope.

Moving on in our mission we need the help of multiple strands of talent and cooperation from like-minded and heart-inclined friends to be with us in this noble endeavor of bringing cheers to PDL and their families. With God Almighty guiding and leading us, we will succeed in this aspiration. Let us draw inspiration from the story of the multiplication of five loaves and two fish.

I end by congratulating our Board, Prof. Raymund, Executive Director Tess and our volunteers for work well done to give liberty to many of our PDLs last 2021! Big cheers to us all!

RENE V. SARMIENTO

Acting President & Chairman of the Bopard of Trustees
